The 563rd film I have seen in theaters…

I travelled to the cinema tonight for the newest offering from Demon Slayer! Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training is the name of this release. It is actually 2 episodes of the series spliced into one film.

We started with a recap of the whole series to this point, well put together actually. All set to the theme music of the individual seasons. We then segue into final episode of the previous season: The Swordsmith Village arc. It is a great episode for the big screen. So much action and powerful emotion. We then get to the good stuff, the new stuff! The premiere episode of the new season: The Hashira Training arc. It is a great episode too. We get to see all the characters slowly be reintroduced, after being apart for a good chunk of season 3. We also see the fallout from the events of the previous episode as Demon and Slayers align themselves for an epic battle! Great stuff!

It definitely did the job of preparing me for the new season. It is well worth the ticket to see this one in a theater. I wish more shows did this. We caught the premiere of Game of Thrones season 2 in the theater way back in the day, as well as some Doctor Who stuff. It always works well.
