I don’t really do obituaries here, but this passing must be acknowledged. I met Lynch, ever so briefly, about 25 years ago in New York. I was walking around and in front of a coffee shop was David Lynch. Our eyes met, he recognized my recognition and graciously walked up to say hello. After a minute or so of chit chat we went our separate ways. He didn’t have to give me a few moments of his time, but he did so anyway. His body of work speaks for itself. He was a true artist, and I shall miss his weather reports.
