The 610th film I have seen in theaters…

A young priest is assigned to a church in a small town in New York. The fiery Monsieur Wicks rules the church with his cult of personality. Things go south when the controversial priest is murdered during Mass. A mystery involving millions of dollars and old secrets is revealed and only one man can get to the center of it all: Benoit Blanc.

Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig are back! As a lover of mysteries, especially those with comedic elements, this series continues to delight. This time the action is centered in a church as we examine the interplay of faith, politics, and greed. I may have enjoyed this one more than Glass Onion. Daniel Craig can keep playing Benoit Blanc for the rest of his life and I will be overjoyed. It may never rival James Bond as his greatest part, but it should. Joining Craig is Josh O’Connor as the young priest accused of murder. I loved this guy as Prince Charles in The Crown. He’s a terrific actor. As before, we are treated to a heavy hitter cast with Glenn Close, John Brolin, Kerry Washington, Jeremy Renner, Thomas Hayden-Church, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Jeffrey Wright, Daryl McCormack, and Cailee Spaeny as our cast.

Every three years, for the last six, we’ve gotten a new Knives Out movie. I hope we get another in 2028.
