Sad news out of Italy today. It is being reported by Variety, TMZ, and other entertainment sites that James Gandolfini, Tony Soprano, has passed away from a suspected heart attack/stroke.
The Sopranos was HUGE in my household . I watched it. My brother watched it, even my mother watched it! Gandolfini was a tremendous actor who’s career stretched far beyond The Sopranos. I remember first noticing him in the remake of 12 Angry Men with Jack Lemmon- a superior adaptation of the story. He was seen last year as Leon Panetta in Zero Dark Thirty.
He was 51.
