Also, the first look at Toho’s new Godzilla suit has leaked! Said to be covered in burns and charred skin, this new design harkens back to his Nuclear bomb heritage. ‘Zilla’s got a bit of the crazy eye in this one, but in Toho we trust.
News came down today that Yahoo Screen, savior of Community season 6 will be closing down. As Community was the only high profile show in it’s arsenal, this hardly comes as a surprise. The Darkest timeline for Yahoo!

The Force Awakens continues its march to dominance. It added a stunning 90.2 million at the US box office this past weekend. It is sitting at 742.2 Million, the fastest to ever reach that- 17 days. Sometime this week the film will surpass Avatar and become the highest grossing of all time in America. An incredible feat. We expect the box office to slow down now that the holidays have ended, but we hope it goes high enough to dent 2 Billion worldwide, a likely feat as it now sits at 1.5 Billion. What a time to be a Star Wars fan.
The weekend’s top 5
- The Force Awakens: 90,241,673 – I saw it twice this week.
- Daddy’s Home: 29,205,583 – I might have to see this one.
- The Hateful Eight: 15,709,645 – I was expecting more. Surprising.
- Sisters: 12,760,730 – Respectable haul.
- Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Road Chip – 12,071,523 – There is not a snowball’s chance in hell of me seeing this one.
Country singer Craig Strickland died after going missing in a winter storm last week. He was out duck hunting when his boat overturned. His friend drowned, while Strickland made it out of the water and appears to have frozen to death. The hunting dog survived. No word on whether they caught the duck. RIP.
straight to hell…
