Attention!
Hello to all 3 of my readers! The cold has passed and in a couple of days MAY will arrive! This is traditionally a bad time for my bank account as this is where the lion’s share of my film watching happens! Lets take a look at what I’ll be seeing over the next 4 months!
May 5: Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 – Hell yes. Who isn’t looking forward to this?
May 12: King Arthur- Legend of the sword – I am smelling a big stinker here. But, I’ve been wrong before. A King Arthur film by Guy Ritchie? Thats worth the price of a matinee ticket’.
May 19: Alien Covenant – Ok, I enjoy movies, but I am not a particular fan of scary movies in the theater. lol. I am a little girl. I admit it. I will be heading out for Ridley Scott though.
May 25: Baywatch – It is starring Dwayne Johnson. This looks hilarious.
May 26: Pirates of the Caribbean- Dead Men tell no Tales – reuniting the original cast? Johnny Depp as Sparrow? I am IN!
June 2: Wonder Woman – Please don’t suck. PLEASE don’t suck.
June 9: The Mummy – Tom Cruise has been making excellent films for the last few years. I am looking forward to this one.
June 23: Transformers: The Last Knight – I don’t know if I can see another one of these… ugh.
June 30: The House – Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler open a casino in their basement in this R rated comedy. I’ll give it a chance.
July 7: Spider-man Homecoming – on my birthday no less! Make mine Marvel!
June 14: War for the Planet of the Apes – The first two were easily the best in the series. I’ll be here for round 3.
July 21: Dunkirk – If you saw the preview for this in IMAX last year, your butt is in the seat. Awesome.
July 21: Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets – This is going to be a huge bomb. A turkey of epic proportions. I will love it though. Luc Besson returns to Sci-Fi in adapting one of the most influential comics ever made.
August 4: The Dark Tower – This has a lot riding on it. Stephen King’s Masterpiece. Will they F it up? I hope not, but it is possible, easy even.
August 18: The Hitman’s Bodyguard – I had no interest in this. Then I saw the poster.
Holy shit. That sells the film right there! For you young’uns- here is what this references:
Then, I saw the trailer…
Count me in!
Ok everyone! See you at the movies!
