OSCARS 2021: The Nominees

The 93rd Academy Awards are a month away and today they announced the nominees!

2020 was a friggin weird year, man. I saw two 2019 movies in a cinema (Jojo Rabbit and Knives Out) before the world shut down. Covid-19, whether we realize it or not, has changed everything going forward. Everything. The movies are no different. My whole schtick on this blog is movies I have seen “IN A THEATER”. Even I must admit that streaming is winning the battle. The big screen will likely be relegated to the blockbusters while the mid to low-tier budgeted films will be streamed. Maybe I am wrong, but I don’t think I am. Luckily I have an indie theater a couple miles from my house. A lot of people aren’t as fortunate.

I will now, as is tradition, spend the next 41 days cramming in as many of these films as is humanly possible. It is not always easy to see them all. This year is 100% doable. Everything is out there streaming. A few I’ve already seen! Here’s the list:
