No Time to Die

The 525th Film I have seen in theaters…

Daniel Craig’s last Bond film

Hello my readers!

So what did we think of No Time to Die?

I am a huge fan of “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, the late 60’s Bond film starring George Lazenby. This new film borrows heavily from that movie, glaringly so at times. The actual theme songs from OHMSS are used throughout the film, to the point that they are practically the themes to this film. Not just the epic opening orchestral theme, but the Louis Armstrong “We have all the time in the world” song as well. In fact, Armstrong’s song plays as the credits roll. The quote “We have all the time in the world” is also used a couple of times in the film, to great effect.

Craig was great, as always. He was probably second only to Connery as far as “best” in the role. All the returning characters were great as well. I enjoyed the “Nomi” character but felt a bit let down by Rami Malek as the villain of the piece. He was fine, the film just didn’t place enough threat behind him. “Oh yeah, this is the bad guy, let’s go get him” is about all we get. A shame.

I also was expecting more from Ana De Armas, the most beautiful actress on Earth, but sadly she is only in the film briefly. I’m not going to get into the plot on this one, just prepare yourself for a unique Bond movie. Check it out.
